Description
The Link between animal abuse and interpersonal domestic violence is an underappreciated concept in law enforcement. In this session, animal protection counterparts from Calgary and Edmonton will discuss strategies and programs developed to battle violence Link crimes in the Province of Alberta. They will share their challenges and successes in advocating for resources, collaborating with other sectors, and providing violence link training to their respective communities, utilizing case studies and lessons learned in the day to day animal protection and policing operation.
