V. Victoria Shroff is credited as one of the first and longest serving animal law practitioners in Canada having practiced at Shroff & Associates (Shroff Animal Law) in Vancouver for 20+ years. She is the author of a new text book, Canadian Animal Law published by Lexis-Nexis. (http://ow.ly/Y5EF50FV0Ev.) Victoria is also adjunct Professor of animal law at UBC's Allard school of law and Capilano University.

Victoria has appeared at all levels of court. She is frequently before the media regarding 'dangerous' dogs, pet insurance, custody, cruelty, horse, veterinary, wildlife issues, animals in society. Recognized for contributions as animal lawyer-educator, as finalist for Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers multiple times, recipient of an International Society of Animal Rights SEEDS award, nominated for YWCA's Women of Distinction Award, winner of Hitachi Excellence Award and Canadian Bar Association Certificate of Appreciation.

Victoria speaks and writes about on animal law locally, internationally at law schools, conferences and to the public. She helped spearhead Canada's first Animal Law Pro Bono Clinic (ALPC https://www.lslap.bc.ca/animal-law-pro-bono-clinic.html) in 2020. Victoria is founding chair of national Canadian Animal Law Study Group. She founded 'Paws of Empathy' an animal law program for kids that she teaches with dogs in the classroom.
