Sergeant Teena Stoddart has been a police officer for the last 29 years supporting many critical thinking positions within her distinguished career.

Teena started with the Ontario Provincial Police in 1991, transferring to the Ottawa Police Service in 1998. She has held positions in frontline policing, Human Resources, Major Case Management, Planning, Performance and Analytics, Quality Assurance, and as the Violence Link Coordinator.

In 2010, Teena was seconded to the Ontario Behavioural Science Unit as a Viclas Analyst, where she received training on sexual serial predators from RCMP, as well as from FBI conferences.

Teena was one of the founding members of the Canadian Violence Link Coalition, that includes professionals from across Canada including Crown Attorneys, Victim Crisis professionals, police officers, animal welfare professionals, etc. The Coalition’s goal is to introduce prevention and intervention strategies across the country and to establish policies and practices that make communities safer.

Teena has served on expert discussion panels, testified at the Justice Committee in the House of Commons on Bill C-84, met with Federal and Provincial politicians, and presented to conferences and community groups focused on the Violence link.
