This presentation will examine the current system of enforcing animal protection legislation in New Brunswick and illustrate the Violence Link through local animal protection cases. Presenters from the New Brunswick SPCA will discuss growing partnerships and collaboration between relevant sectors, the province wide Safe for Pets Too program, as well as successes and obstacles with education and awareness, intervention, and prosecution of animal abuse in domestic violence situations.
