Speaker Bio
Shoni Field is a strategic thinker who believes fundraising can be a powerful inspirational tool to get a broader population involved in causes they hold close to their heart, and thus, for social change. She is the Chief Development Officer at the British Columbia SPCA where she runs a full spectrum fundraising program raising more than $45 million annually. Shoni has been fundraising for more than 25 years for a range of causes including environmental, youth, health, and development organizations.

She believes that "a rising tide lifts all boats" when it comes to knowledge-sharing in fundraising. For that reason, she founded “For the Paws”, an international virtual summit for animal welfare fundraisers, and she presents regularly at national and international fundraising conferences. When not fundraising, she advocates for voting reform and citizen engagement, plays strategy games and bakes fancy cakes. Shoni lives and works on the unceded traditional territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
