A relationship builder, out-of-the-box thinker, and problem solver, Mary Saretski has 19+ years of experience in fund development. She has served her community in a variety of roles including 16 years at the University of Alberta various roles from Annual Giving to Major gifts and 3 years in Major Gifts with Habitat for Humanity Edmonton. Mary currently serves as Director, Donor & Stakeholder Relations for the Edmonton Humane Society where she supports Marketing and Communications, Humane Education, Community Engagement, and Fund Development. A curious spirit that challenges the status quo has been key to Mary’s relationship-building and fundraising success. As a dedicated lifelong learner, Mary revels in sharing her experience with others and having an open dialogue around fundraising best practices. Mary is a sought-after speaker who has presented at national conferences such as the Western Canada Fundraising Conference and For the Paws Summit, as well as served as Faculty for her local AFP chapter’s Fundamentals of Fundraising and CFRE Refresher course.
