Hannah Weitzenfeld, DVM, is the Senior Manager, Animal Health for the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA). After graduating from Ontario Veterinary College, Hannah made British Columbia her home and has been practicing there for over a decade. While much of her career was involved in private practice; she has experience working with animal shelters and foster-based organizations.

In her role at BCSPCA, Hannah provides animal health support, training, and oversight to all thirty-four sheltering branches, including population-level shelter medicine and sanitation protocols. Her role also involves interdepartmental collaborations, as well as work with external stakeholders such as the local veterinary community, other non-profit organizations, and the media.
