Katja M. Guenther is a Professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of California, Riverside. Her research and teaching interests including human-animal relations, animal rights activism, women's and feminist organizing, and the state. She is the author of The Lives and Deaths of Shelter Animals (Stanford University Press, 2020) and numerous other scholarly publications.
