Kylie brings diverse experience and insight to the animal welfare field with her unique background. She is currently on contract with the RSPCA Victoria in Australia as Communications Manager after spending nearly seven years with the Edmonton Humane Society in Alberta, Canada, most recently as Manager of Communications and Education.

Like many young animal lovers, Kylie Adams dreamt of being a veterinarian. However, her educational path took an exciting turn while pursuing her BSc in Animal Health from the University of Alberta, discovering her true passion lay in animal behaviour and welfare. As a result, Kylie switched plans, recognizing the significant need for science-based public education in these areas. She then completed an MSc in International Animal Welfare, Ethics & Law with the University of Edinburgh and a Diploma in Public Relations with the University of Victoria.

The unique education combination of communications and animal welfare gives Kylie a distinct perspective and ability to identify potential issues while effectively delivering messages to internal and external audiences.

Before working in animal welfare, Kylie gained experience in project management, sales, employee training and business management. She loves creating new ideas, bringing them to reality, and sharing knowledge.
