Marieke leads the strategy, program development and execution of provincial community outreach initiatives for the British Columbia SPCA (BC SPCA). In addition to her work in spay/neuter and cat overpopulation, she developed and grew the BC SPCA food bank outreach work when the pandemic began, increasing partnerships and distributing more than 50,000 kg and 30,000 cans of pet food throughout B.C. in the first six months.
