Annie has been the Executive Director of the McCreary Centre Society since 2006. Based in Vancouver, Canada, the Society is best known for its BC Adolescent Health Survey and is a non-profit organization committed to improving the health of BC youth through community-based research, evaluation and youth participation projects. Annie is the lead author on the reports Connections and Companionship (2016) and Connections and Companionship II (2020).

Annie holds a masters from Harvard and a PhD from Sheffield Hallam University. She is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Nursing at University of British Columbia.
