Rikki Gusway is a Registered Social Worker in the Regina community. Rikki has her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina. Rikki is in the process of completing her Masters of Social Work at the University of Regina, where she completed her field practicum with the Regina Humane Society. This collaborative and interdisciplinary social work placement is the first of its kind in Canada. Rikki's current employment is in family preservation and family reunification as a Family Treatment Therapist with a local Saskatchewan not for profit organization. In addition to this role, Rikki has also worked in income assistance, community health, and disability supports. Rikki is also an active member of the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers where she has been the chair of the Education committee since 2017. Rikki developed a passion for the human animal bond after her experience with her own dogs. This passion is what inspired her pursuit of a placement with the Regina Humane Society. Rikki believes that animals (like children) do best and therefore belong in a family environment where they are able to feel safe and loved. Rikki resides in Regina, Saskatchewan with her husband Brett, 1 year old son Charlie and two active dogs, Lux & Bam.
