Dr. Jodi Lazare is an assistant professor at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, where she teaches and researches in Constitutional Law, Animal Law, and Family Law. Prior to her appointment, she completed graduate studies in law at McGill University in Montreal, as well as a one-year clerkship for the Hon. Justice Michael Moldaver of the Supreme Court of Canada. Jodi currently holds an Insight Development Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada to study the constitutional dimensions of animal rights activism and restrictions on that activism in the form of newly adopted agricultural gag laws.
