Alison Cuffley has been a lifelong advocate for animal welfare in British Columbia. She currently works for the BC SPCA as Government Relations officer, where she works to improve the lives of animals through legislation and policy at all levels of government. She heads the organization’s reconciliation programming and is aiming to decolonize non-profits through integration of traditional knowledge and culturally appropriate services throughout the province. Her family is Tsleil-Waututh and she lives and works on unceded territory of šxʷməθkʷəy̓əmaɁɬ təməxʷ, Skwxwú7mesh-ulh Temíx̱w , and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ təməxʷ.
