Behaviour change campaigns, public mobilization campaigns targeting governments and/or corporations and direct lobby efforts are all strategies that can improve the lives of exotic wild animals in Canada. This session will provide the audience with an update on World Animal Protection's work on the global wildlife trade campaign and share new exotic pet trade research insights. Furthermore, an analysis will be provided how international and federal campaign strategies can be used in furthering exotic pet legislation and policies with local governments and businesses.
