Gabriella Castillo is obtaining her Master of Science degree in Animal Sciences at the University of Delaware, where she also received her Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences bachelor's degree, with a minor in Environmental Humanities in 2019. Hailing from Bethany Beach, Delaware, she has always been passionate about animal welfare, conservation, activism and rescue, influencing her decision to volunteer at local animal shelters and interning at Animal Welfare Institute (AWI).

As an Intern at AWI, Gabriella helps in developing social media content and maintains current databases. In the future, Gabriella hopes to continue working in the animal welfare field, while informing the public of ways to help animals.
