The Violence Link is being recognized, initiatives are being created and acted upon within by a vast array of social agencies. Substantial work is being successfully carried out in a multitude of areas, unfortunately often in silos. It is becoming imperative that agencies collaborate where violence exists- whether it involves animals or humans. Collaborating, sharing vital information between agencies working together linking the violence in investigations.

This presentation will delve into what police officers need to look for in situations of abuse and be aware of in all interactions with the public; What human service workers need to keep in mind when dealing with individuals, investigating alleged child/elder/intimate partner abuse; How to incorporate animal protection officers and above all, facilitating the flow of communication effectively.
