She lives in Toronto, Ontario and holds degrees from Concordia University (BA), the University of Waterloo (MA) and the University of Calgary (PhD). Taryn's work has received widespread coverage by the media and press, and she consults on a wide range of animal issues for academic, government, corporate, and non-profit sectors. Her doctoral thesis focused on pets in housing, and she is recognized internationally for this work.
