A graduate of the University of Montreal in Neurosciences (BSc), Maude Barbeau-Grégoire is a new master's student in veterinary sciences at the University of Montreal – Research Group in Animal Pharmacology of Quebec (GREPAQ) under the supervision of Prof. Eric Troncy on the use of natural health products directed against osteoarthritis in pets. Maude had also completed two summer internships within the same institution in the laboratories of Dr. Alexandre Boyer and Prof. Eric Troncy. She was also the recipient of an undergraduate research grant (BRPC) from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). She developed new skills in laboratory and pet animal manipulation, communication and assessment of potential alteration in their welfare. Maude is a horse lover, as she grew up on a farm, she has always been very close to animals and has always had an interest in their welfare and health. She is also a skier and soccer player, and loves being able to spend time in nature whether on the mountain or hiking.
